   What's Happening?

We have  just returned from Central Australia where we conducted a 2 day workshop in Alice Springs titled "Language and Listening and their Links to Literacy". Participants were teachers and teacher assistants from the Tanami Group school - a 'collection' of 8 remote schools in the Tanami desert region. Our attempt to ensure that our material was relevant to this unique educational context  was greatly assisted by a 'field trip' to visit 4 of the Tanami schools prior to the workshop. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and wish to thank everyone for arranging the trip and for welcoming us into their schools and lives.
