ABOUT LOVE AND REILLY
Love and Reilly is an educational publishing business and training service committed to promoting the language development and literacy skills of Australian children. This is achieved by:
* Creating and publishing materials for language and literacy development. Many of these resources are used regularly within general classroom programming, but speech pathologists and aides find them great for language therapy also.
*Offering training to speech pathologists, teachers, parents and aides.
*Providing free articles for download on the website.
Love and Reilly was established originally in 1994 by Elizabeth Love and Sue Reilly, Australian Speech and Language Pathologists who also have additional qualifications in education. From their knowledge and expertise working in clinical and educational settings, they began to produce resources and programs for language and literacy development, with a focus on oral language. In time, Elizabeth and Sue began offering professional development sessions and these were always well received. These training sessions, continuously updated, are still offered today.
In 2012, Speech and Language Pathologist, Lucia Smith, took over the reins of Love and Reilly. Lucia has 19 years of experience working across schools and early childhood intervention settings. Over the last 10 years, she has also been running training for parents, teachers and aides, and now speech pathologists.
Her work has taken her far and wide, and she has always had great admiration for Love and Reilly products. She knows that they too, travel far and wide, reaching schools in every corner of Australia. She remembers seeing the Singing Alphabet being sung in a tiny, remote aboriginal school on the Tiwi Islands in 2002!
Lucia continues to work in early intervention and in schools and write programs and deliver training for Pelican Talk Speech Therapy Resources. She will now be offering the Love and Reilly training sessions also, along with updating and producing their therapy resources.
