Wizard

The Wizard pack aims to develop early decoding and spelling skills by focusing on analysis of sounds in spoken words and blending of sounds in reading. There are 2 card packs - one for regular 3 sounded words, with and without digraphs (orange pack), and one for 4 sounded words incorporating a consonant blend (purple pack). A Wizard board game is included.

Uses: The activities are suitable for word study as part of overall literacy instruction. They provide practice in the word attack and sound analysis skills needed for early reading and spelling. The cards are a versatile resource that can be used in the classroom, in small groups or with individual students.

Target Population: Wizard is suitable for children in the first two years of school and older students who may need revision.
